Le Pain Quotidien is a peaceful restaurant located in Hiranandani Gardens, Powai. It’s a quick escape from the chaos and traffic of Mumbai. The interiors are beautiful with french inspired wooden tables, wide French windows, ample amount of sunlight for your selfies & Instagram clicks, cute post-its with comments from the customers and more.
Instead of beating around the bush, let me come to the point.
We ordered 2 dishes & a drink. I was eagerly waiting for the pasta and as soon i took the first bite, i was disappointed. It was bland, undercooked, flavourless & felt like the frozen pasta you get at Domino’s. The staff was courteous and changed it for me. However, the new pasta tasted the same.
While the interiors are beautifully done, the food is almost the opposite and doesn’t justify to the place.
According to my friend, the salad was decent. The cherry on the cake was they offered us a complimentary dessert which tasted good but then again, not what we expected from quaint place like this.
Though i detest being a “Negative Nancy”, this is what you get for serving undercooked food.
Would i recommend this place?
Not quite but you can visit this place if you have nowhere to go OR for the interiors
COST: Rs.1500 for 2 people
