Those curly little things attached to your eyelids, not only protects your eyes but makes your eyes look wonderfully attractive, if they are in their best health. But they have to be taken care of delicately. So treat your eyelashes kindly- after all they are one of the best beauty assets you have.
1. Mascara Dairies:
Yes by applying mascara, your lashes get that dark and long look. But there are many side effects if you apply it every day like losing your eyelashes, thinning lash hair etc. So to avoid all this hassle, apply mascara occasional only. And for other of the days give it a rest.
– Avoid using water proof mascara, as its very harsh for the follicles. And are worst enemies for eyelashes.
– Choose your mascara wisely, use the one with vitamin -E and other essential oils.
– Use water- soluble mascara
2. Moisturise
Even eyelashes need constant conditioning and moisturising to prevent them from thinning. Moisturizing your eyelashes will save you from damage done by mascara. There are many lash serum available in market which helps to retain the health of eyelashes or you can make your own serum: 1 tea spoon Castor oil + ½ tea spoon Vaseline + 4 drops of Vitamin-E.
3. Hand tricks
Cleanliness is must, keep your hands clean before touching your lashes as it will save you from any nasty infection. Also avoid rubbing your eyes, as it can pull off the lashes from roots. So if you feel itchy just pat it with fingers or wash your face or put cold wet cloth on your eyes itching will go away.
– Carefully remove mascara, be gentle and kind with your lashes
– Never go to bed with your make-up on
4. Fake it smartly
Fake eyelashes can give an awing look, but in longer term it it will damage your lashes. Fake lashes comes with stick on glue which can rob off your real lashes while removing it so to avoid the fuss apply some Vaseline before removing your F.L , it will come off smoothly. Remember not to sleep with your F.L on.
5. Be careful
– Use lash curler light handedly, don’t press it too hard.
– Brush your lashes like you brush your hair ‘everyday’, it stimulates the hair growth
– Once in a while oil it up and give it a light massage which increases blood flow.
– Take a break from makeup once in a while.
