I was handed over an Itinerary with the places i would like to see around Chandigarh by the team at The Lalit hotel. One of the places in the Itinerary was the ‘Rose garden’. When i visited the ‘Rose garden’ in Chandigarh, i felt like i was taken to a different world. The place was obviously filled with roses in vivid colours. It was a treat to your eyes! The best part about Chandigarh is the fresh air. For someone who lives in Bombay, which is one of the most polluted cities in India, this was literally a breath of fresh air. The only thing i could think of was to drink a warm cup of Chai sitting on the grass. I noticed that there were a number of couples in the garden enjoying the beautiful sight around them. It’s indeed a place to have a fun outing with your family/ loved ones. Also, it would be a perfect place for a date! If i ever had a garden of my own in the future, it would be a mini version of the ‘Rose garden’. I was so mesmerized by the colours around me that i ended up taking 100+ photos of each & every rose. It was quite overwhelming! Later that day, it was time for some local food. The staff at Lalit & the locals recommended both Pal & the Deluxe Dhaba. We ended up going to the Deluxe Dhaba where we had delicious Aloo Paratha, Naans & Lassi. I did post about it on my Snapchat. I am quite thrilled about my next trip that i would be leaving for on Sunday.
Have you guys been to the ‘Rose garden’ or the ‘Deluxe Dhaba’? How was your experience?
