The New Year is right around the corner, it means it’s time for resolutions and new things. Every year we make resolutions to lose weight, to work more and to be more efficient. Somehow we always forget to keep skin care as a priority when it comes to New Year’s resolution. Not this year though, this year, I will help you with skincare resolutions that will keep your skin looking fabulous all throughout the coming year.
I will be sharing some of my own skincare secrets that you can include in your own beauty regime to make you skin glow and be perfect in the coming New Year.
1. Vitamin C:
Vitamin C can work wonders on your skin. It can help clear out acne, pigmentation and give you glowing skin. I use a vitamin C serum every day. You too should incorporate vitamin C in your beauty regime, you can do so my getting a vitamin C moisturizer or facewash or a serum like me. You should also include vitamin C in your diet. It is mostly derived from citrusy fruits like lemon, oranges and so on.
2. Sunscreen:
No matter what the season, skipping sunscreen is a big no-no. It protects your skin from harmful UV rays and in doing so keeps pigmentation, dark sports and fine lines at bay. Even if you’re stepping out in the evening, applying sunscreen should always be on your list, while you get ready.
3. Vitamin A:
Vitamin A or Retinol is the number one way to fight fine lines and wrinkles. Even if you’re young, only in your twenties, you should be applying retinol to your face every day to keep those fine lines at bay. Incorporate a Vitamin A or Retinol Serum in your day and night skincare regime and slow down skin ageing.
4. Hyaluronic Acid:
Don’t get frightening by the name, this acid is actually good for your skin. It is the best moisturizer and it can make your skin supple. Look for moisturizers and serums that have hyaluronic acid in them. Hyaluronic moisturizers are mostly gel based and work really well on dry and combination skin. You can even opt for sheet masks with Hyaluronic acid.
5. Be Disciplined:
The most important part of skincare is being regular with it and being disciplined about it. Once you find a routine that best suits your skin, stick to it. Don’t skip on cleansing your face after a late night, don’t go to sleep with your makeup still on, don’t skip your sunscreen because you’re running late. The key to having good skin is to be regular and diligent about its care. Eat right, care for it the right way, and you’ll have glowing skin all year round.
