Winter has finally arrived, as we say, better late than never !

Every year I transition from summer to winter, by bringing out all my sweaters, coats and jackets from the back of my closet. A change of season does not mean that you stop being your stylish self.

A big part of my style is my makeup routine. With change in season I also like to change up my summer makeup routine to winter makeup routine. But that does not mean I go on a shopping spree and purchase all new makeup for the new season.

Here are my tips on transitioning from summer makeup, to winter makeup and look your best this season.

  1. Moisturiser and Primer:

Keeping your skin hydrated is even more important in winters than it is in summer. A good moisturizer is a must not matter what season you’re prepping for. Only if your skin is hydrated can your makeup look good and stay on for longer. I use the Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturiser. It works well on all skin types and makes my skin super hydrated.

  1. Foundation:

During winters I like to switch my BB and CC creams for a proper foundation. I like to have more full coverage product during this time of the year. I tend to go for bolder looks this season and a good foundation really goes a long way. I use the MAC studio fix fluid SPF 15 foundation. It comes with SPF so it gives you sun protection and you also get a lot of different shades with helps with my summer tan.

  1. Highlight:

Highlight is very important for a winter look. A little bit of shimmer can really brighten your day. I like to use the Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Highlighter. It is super pigmented and works really well on my skin. You can also get in different tints from soft pinks to bold golds.

  1. Eyeliner:

As I said before I like to go for bold looks during the winter and eyeliners are a big part of that. I like to switch between, black, brown and blue eye liners during this season. As winter is also sort of party season, bold eyes are must. I use the Lakme Absolute Shine Liner. It’s easy to put on and looks great on my eyes, especially for night looks.

  1. Lipstick:

Bold lips are also a part of my winter makeup. I like to wear deep reds, pinks and browns during this season. I love the Maybelline New York Color Sensational Powder Matt Lipsticks.
