This is one of the most hilarious, yet embarrassing story i am going to share with you all. Brace yourself! When we were kids, we were quite curious about how babies were made. I was about 6, when i thought that babies were made when a man puts a mangalsutra { “an auspicious thread” which is knotted around the bride’s neck} around a woman’s neck during the wedding. Even touching it can make you have a baby! So one day, mom was asleep & i wanted to try the necklace out. So i wore it around my neck while modelling in front of the mirror. I wondered how heavy this necklace was. How can women walk around wearing it on a day to day basis? And all of sudden, it hit me! My mom had a me after she wore this & now, i have worn this that means i am going to get pregnant. So for the next 2 years of my life, until i was 8, i thought i was pregnant or there was a baby in my tummy because i had tried my mom’s necklace. How bizarre is that! I didn’t tell my mom about it because i was too scared and i kept it to myself for a really long time.
Now that i know how babies are made, this story makes me laugh every single time.
