Indian women & long hair go hand in hand. I was reminded of that when i met Patrick Cameron, Wella’s Global Ambassador who has been in the hair business for more than 25 years. During the blogger’s meet, he spoke about some vital points that helped me understand hair.
Some of the points that he mentioned were as follows:
- Hair, just like clay can be moulded & shaped in various forms when it’s damp. Using the correct products can help you to achieve various styles.
- It’s myth that hair cannot be combed when it’s wet. According to Patrick, combing dry hair can cause more damage. He recommends combing your hair using a wide tooth comb starting your way from the bottom to the top.
- It’s important to keep the shampoo in your hair for a longer time for the ingredients to work & also to get rid of oily scalp.
- As indians, we love oiling our hair from time to time. Patrick suggests that after we wash off the oil with shampoo, adding a serum will not only add shine but will also help to make the hair style last longer.
Overall, the session really helped me to know more about hair and how it can make or break a look.
Not just that, Patrick Cameron showcased his Modern Vintage collection with state of the art styling products from the Wella Professionals portfolio. Modern vintage takes its inspiration from the 1960’s because this era has an enduring influence in fashion, in the balance and the proportions of the way hair is dressed .This legacy is seen across the board from international catwalks to red carpets as well as editorial work. Acknowledged as a long hair expert, Wella Global Ambassador Patrick Cameron had devised the collection to showcase step-by- step looks and demonstrations to the hairdressers that struggle with styling long hair. These hair shows were held across three major cities in India – Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore where there was a live demonstration of these looks.
