Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Cinderella whose stepmother & her daughters didn’t love her much as much as they loved themselves. They loved clicking selfies and never included photos of Cinderella in family portraits. Her sisters lived a comfortable life with gorgeous dresses, delicious food & every home comfort. They wore the latest designer clothing but poor Cinderella was dressed in old rags and had to work the entire day. Her only friends were the Mice & the birds.
One day, an email arrived with a special invitation. There was going to be a royal ball at the palace! It read “Every eligible maiden is to attend. Please RSVP if you’re interested”. Cinderella found a dress in her wardrobe that belonged to her mother. It was a bit old-fashioned so she thought she could work on it to make it more beautiful. “Should I wear a statement necklace with this?” she wondered. Cinderella was ecstatic & asked the stepmother for permission to attend the ball. The stepmother told her that if she finishes all the work, she can attend it. While the stepsisters tried on new dresses & jewellery to wear to the ball, the mice started working on Cinderella’s outfit. They were her only friends after all. They added ribbons & beads that the two sisters had thrown away. Cinderella was delighted to see the gorgeous dress & couldn’t wait to go the ball!
When the step sisters saw the old ribbons & beads on Cinderella’s dress that were from their wardrobe, they ripped it off. After being humiliated, Cinderella ran away to her room to cry. She tweeted saying “Most horrible day ever! Only if magic exists…#FML”. While she was lying on her bed thinking about her miserable life, she received a reply to her tweet. She was surprised that someone actually cared about her well-being. “Why don’t you try the Myntra app? It’s just like Magic!” it read.
She wiped her tears off & downloaded the app out of curiosity. She was welcomed with a colourful array of dresses to wear to the ball. Skater, Maxi or Mini? She wondered! While she bought her dress within 2 minutes, as luck has it, she received another email saying the event has been postponed. Cinderella jumped with joy while she could hear her stepsisters murmur with disappointment in the next room.
The next day, her step sisters left for the ball leaving Cinderella behind. Cinderella received her order on time and the dress fit her just about right! The only condition was that she had to return home by 12. She sneaked out of the house & reached the palace. At the ball, Prince Charming couldn’t take his eye off Cinderella. While the Live DJ played, the prince began to dance with the gorgeous girl whose name he still didn’t know. “I have seen you on tinder before” he said.
Before the clock began to strike midnight, Cinderella ran back home. The prince said “Come back, I don’t even know your name!”. She dropped her visiting card with her number on it. The Prince called her the very next day to set up another date. After a number of chats on Whatsapp & Snapchat, Cinderella & the Prince were soon married and they lived happily ever after.
