If you follow me on Instagram, you might be aware that i am currently in Kerala. I am sitting right in front of a beautiful beach while typing this article. Also, there’s a huge caterpillar right next to me that’s devouring on some leaves, an adorable calf, some aggressive crows fighting over a piece of bread, friendly dogs ( i even named one!) and some magic potion to help me work on a vacation (i.e Hot chocolate). It took me 6 hours to reach our destination from Kochi. While i  was travelling, i came across a traditional Malayalee wedding. Thankfully, our driver had stalled the car to take a break. Inspired by the movie ‘Wedding crashers’, i decided to take a peek into it out of curiosity.

The love for gold among Indians was clearly visible here. The bride looked beautiful covered in traditional gold jewellery. She wore a gold choker necklace with 3 or more gold necklaces layered under it. Most of the guests kept it minimal by wearing thin gold necklaces & bangles.Speaking of gold, these jewellery designs from Amrapali (who i met through LoveGold) are a perfect fit for a traditional Indian wedding. The chunky gold ring with elephants on all sides gives an edgy yet ethnic touch to any outfit. I also found a pair of earrings that looked like an umbrella. It’s modern & can be easily worn on a day to day basis. On the other hand,  i have spotted similar jhumkas at every wedding i have attended till date. It’s just one of those pieces that completes any Indian wedding attire.
