Recently, we visited Coimbatore with Zone by the Park. It’s one of the most recent properties that’s come up in Coimbatore. I was accompanied by my photographer Karanjit. I was quite thrilled to visit Tamil Nadu as it was my first trip as an adult. The last time i was in Coimbatore, it was probably when i was 2 years old. Hence, i barely remember anything. Once we reached the Coimbatore, we were promptly picked up from the airport by Mr.Manikkam who was our friendly Chauffeur. Zone by the Park is close to all the city attractions and is just 20 minutes away from the Airport.
As soon as we entered the hotel, I noticed that there was huge picture of me on the screen & it said ‘Welcome Gia’. How thoughtful! The hotel is quaint & quirky. From Families to co-workers, we saw different types of people sitting at the restaurant & relishing on delicious food. I was curious on who designed the interiors of the hotel as it looked so young & vibrant. From Soda bottles to tins, every old school item was used to decorate the buffet area. They also had a colourful Rickshaw in the lobby which was used to display some Local snacks. You can grab some ‘Murukku’ from the Snack corner anytime of the day.
The rooms in Zone are Modern, compact, business-friendly & fun. The best part is that they have utilized every inch of the room (You can view the images below). Also, importance has been given to the smallest of details. For example, we noticed the fun illustration on the toiletries.
When it came to the food, the Head Chef Mr. Kumaran pampered us to the core. The Buffet had a wide variety of dishes ranging from Indian to Continental. Karanjit & I ended up ordering Pizza every single day as it was so delicious! It’s definitely one of the best Pizzas that we have had in India. No kidding! Other than that, the presentation of the food was on point. One of my favourite dishes was Veg Soup with Murukku & Cheesy crisps. Out of all the desserts, Banoffie Pie ended up being close to my heart. Wish i could have brought some home!
As Zone by the Park is situated in the centre of the city, all the attractions are just a few minutes away. We visited the Flower Market, Perur Temple, Isha Yoga Ashram & also some Local hotels (Will be covering that in the next post. Keep your eyes peeled!) We had a memorable experience in Coimbatore. Thanks to the lovely staff at Zone for making it worthit!
