I am going to piling up a number of 2011 spring trends for you here.It’s not necessary to follow a trend just because it’s “IN”
Make sure it suits you or make it suit you ;).The trends that i am going to be talking about are pretty much wearable.You do not have to ape a ramp model to look great , oh c’mon K
These trousers are 70s inspired with wide legs .For girls who have heavy bottoms,try wearing a darker shade with a fitted blouse.You can also wear the ones with vertical stripes on them to give a slimmer look paired with a floral shirt.Pair it with a brown belt with a vintage touch to it or some rugged belt.You can also get these trousers in royal blue, beige,cream etc
Try brands like zara,veromoda etc
LONG SKIRTS:
Long skirts are totally “in” this spring.Remember the days when you used to wear those mini skirts?Forget those days and stock up some long skirts for this spring.You can also stock up Floral long skirts.But i would suggest you to get plain long skirts and then wear floral tops, looks prettier 😀
The whole look will go with the 70s trend 😀
Don’t show that skin:
Try wearing longer and fuller clothes.Not much of skin show this summer 😉 .All the models on the ramp for the spring /summer collection have been carrying a pretty modest look being completely covered up.You try jumpsuits too.They look great on most of the body types and cover up all those flabs and give you an even look.
So basically, do not show much skin this spring 😛
BLAZERS:
In this amazingly HOT Mumbai weather, i wont be able to wear blazers.I do own a few blazers which i used to wear in dec which was the only month it was cold here.YOU LUCKY DELHI PEOPLE! :p
It might be hot in India and the boyfriend blazer trend might be old.But do invest in a blazer,it’s here to stay around .AND makes these beautiful cotton blazers for the Indian weather , try them out 😉
A pinch of Orange:
Orange is going to be around this spring.It’s the most pretty color if worn correctly.Keep a balance between the brights and the neutrals.Do not overdo it.If you wear a neutral coloured , not that bright dress, wear a bright orange footwear.Calm down funky girl! K
Military style:
I am not a big fan of the military style.But what to do now it’s “IN” .I won’t really follow this trend though.But if you guys like it, you should.Try balancing it out.If you wear a military jacket with some heavy work on the shoulders make sure you balance it out by wearing something simpler.
Overall these were a few trends i found out about and felt that they’re useful enough.
I would also like to mention that BIKER JACKETS are going to be a big trend this spring 😀
