The New Year is just around the corner. That means, its time for new things, new resolutions, and new beginnings. A great way to start the new year is to do it with new motivation, and the outlook to be your best self throughout the year.

Around this time of year, we often reflect on all the things we’ve done in the year gone by and the things we need to do, to be better in the coming year. But somewhere, somehow, we forget to follow through on all our understandings and resolutions.

No one really knows the secret to being motivated all the time and to always stick to what we set our mind to do. But there are a few things that we can do in order to be our best self, and give our best at everything we do.

Here are a few of my tips, things that I do, I order to be my best self.

  1. Clean and organized surroundings:

    A messy room, office, or home can be the cause of a lot of distraction, stress and lack of concentration. In the New Year, begin with a clean room. Make your bed everyday after waking up. Put away your laundry as soon as its ready and don’t leave your shoes, bags and accessories lying around. Clean surroundings can have a great effect on your mind, calm you, and also help you concentrate more.

  2. Meditate:

    Just by meditating for five to ten minutes every day, you can improve your concentration, be happier and focus on tasks better. You can find a lot of apps or videos online that will help you learn and begin meditating on your own. Meditation is a proven way of taking care of your mental health, it help you train your mind to focus better and as a result makes you more efficient.

  3. Pamper yourself:

    Taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of others and your surroundings. Treat yourself to a massage, spa treatment, facial or even just mani-pedis, atleast once a month. When you feel good about yourself, you also act like your best self. Take care of your mental health, be happy as much as possible. Your mind is the control unit of your body. If you can manage to make it work smoothly, you can also be assured that your life will be better.

  1. Exercise:

    You must have at least one form of exercise that you love doing. Be it running, walking, yoga, pilates or gyming. Exercise is not only important for good health but also for your mind. Find an exercise that you love, and do it regularly. This will make your mind and body, both stronger.

  2. Look your best:

    When you look good, you feel good. Invest in clothes, makeup and accessories, these are things that can help you be your best self. They can make you feel more confident and in turn, put your best foot forward.
