Once in a while, the fashion and beauty industry reveal new makeup trends which look out of the world and we can’t stop wishing if we could flaunt the same. Sure some of them are colours we never thought we can use every day but looking at the trends being sported by celebrities and beauty gurus worldwide, it does not seem impossible to recreate them. Here’s how you can try them at home:

  • The Orange Makeup Trend

Orange is a summer colour, sure to pop up on any look. However we aren’t talking about bright or neon oranges. It is the deeper, burnt orange shade that is used to create this unique look. Plus it is versatile too – the orange makeup trend can be used for both our eyes and lips. One can also use shades from the same family to create this look.

For the eyes: Start by grabbing a matte, burnt-orange eyeshadow. Pat the shade all over your lid and onto your lower lashline. Then, to add depth, work a matte, deep brown shadow onto the outer corners of your eyes and smudge.

Though most of the looks on this trend sported a matte look, you can also add glitter eyeshadow in a deep orange shade on both your upper lids and below your lower lash line for a special night.

For the lips: It’s much easy to sport this trend on the lips. Pick a deep orange with earthy tones. A matte lipstick would give you the desired look.

  • The Anti Smoky Eye Trend

As the name suggests, it is the reverse of the smoky eye makeup. Quite popular with the celebrities, this new trend is a delight since it requires minimal products and effort and looks super cool at the same time!

How to do it: Using a kajal/kohl pencil, line the waterline of your eye heavily.  Smudge it and re apply to achieve a dark look. Next, use a dark brown eye shadow with a flat brush to apply it under the eye. You can also add some black eye shadow to the area. For your upper lids, dab some brown eye shadow to complete the look.

Point to be noted with this makeup trend is that if you go overboard or don’t blend properly, you could end up looking like you have a dark under eye problem!

We recommend:

Maybelline New York Nudes, the Nudes Palette
