  1. Inflammatory acne:

Cause: What we usually call pimples are actually inflammatory acne. These are the red swollen spots that appear on your face at the most inopportune moments. One of the reasons for inflammatory acne is sebum build up but the main reason for this type of acne is bacteria. Bacteria can cause an infection deep beneath the skin’s surface. This may result in painful acne spots that are hard to get rid of.

Treatment: Inflammatory acne is best treated with prescription medication & diagonose by a dermatologist.
