As someone who loves to travel, I was on a travel ban for a good 3 months due to various reasons. This forced me to explore and make memories in & around my beautiful city. Little did I know that there are a number of places to see & experience around the city that I have lived in for 26 years now.
Last month, I got an amazing opportunity to apply for the American Express Membership Rewards Card during a special life time free promotion. I did some research on their rewards / benefits and was amazed at the numbers of points I could accumulate by using their card. Not only did I save money while using it on the promotional offers in travel, dining and shopping, I also accumulated quite a bit of points. And the beauty of it is that these points never expire and I can redeem them anytime or convert them into miles and also use them for purchases!
My journey with American Express has not only made me experience the wonderful activities that this city provides but also make unforgettable memories with people who’re close to me. Have made a list of some of the important activities that I did throughout the month of April & the benefits / offers I received using my American Express card.
- MOVIES
The one thing I can never avoid is a Hugh Jackman movie. When the movie Logan hit the theatres, I couldn’t resist myself from booking tickets! I booked the tickets using American Express Ezeclick on BookMyShow as their offers were irresistible. You can get Rs.500 worth BookMyShow voucher on 2 transactions greater than Rs.1000. The movie was so good that I decided to watch it again.
2. EXPLORE
Pune – A city full of upbeat cafes & restaurants. Considering it’s been a while since I visited the neighboring city, I decided to stay there on a long weekend. The first thing I did was a book a hotel on MakeMyTrip.com using my American Express card as one can get up to 70% cash back on international & domestic travel. I booked Four Points by Sheraton which is located in one of the main areas in Pune.
One of the highlights of my trip was the visit to the Arthur’s theme café. It’s located in one of the most popular area in Pune – Koregaon Park. We tried almost all the delicious vegetarian dishes that they served. Like I mentioned on my Instagram, I really wish they had a branch in Mumbai.
3. SPLURGE
As my Birthday is coming up this month, I decided to spoil myself at one of my favourite stores using my American Express Card – Sephora. I purchased 2 of my favourite makeup products – A liquid lipstick and a blush.
Pre-birthday celebration cannot be complete without something sweet. So, I purchased a bunch of donuts from Dunkin Donuts and guess what? I got 15% off on my American Express Card. Now, that’s what I call a good deal!
4. HOME ALONE
Whether you’re home alone or decide not to cook, the best way to spend a relaxed night watching Netflix is with your favourite companion – Food. Well.. in my case I don’t cook so the only other option is to order in some food. I used my favourite Swiggy app to order some delicious food from my favourite restaurant and got Flat 10% off on my order.
