A lot of us equate being productive with working harder. That cannot be far from the truth. Of course, little can be accomplished by slacking but the secret here is to work smart. It is imperative to maintain a healthy work-life balance in order to be at your productive best. Making the smartest use of your time to get maximum things done is the secret to you becoming a more fruitful person. Check out these 5 tips that will multiply your productivity levels in 2017!

Set daily goals- Take one day at a time. While it is always easier said than done, planning tasks day-wise not only helps create a clear calendar but it also reduces stress. Set manageable and doable goals. Research has shown that we have only two hours of ‘peak energy’ each day. It is up to us how we use that high-energy period to get maximum things done.

Get some exercise- Begin your day early with a quick jog or run. Take our word when we say that it wakes you up better than coffee! You don’t have to step out of the house if you’re not up for it. You can stay home and pump some iron as well. Daily exercise increases productivity in addition to keeping you healthy enough to remain productive in the long run.

Track your progress- Don’t look at the project as a whole. Break it down into day-to-day tasks and see how much you get done. This is one time where looking at the bigger picture will do more harm than good. Tracking your daily progress will fill you with positivity and motivation and worrying about the end result will only add to your stress.

Learn to delegate- You don’t have to do everything by yourself. If a task can get accomplished sooner just by assigning parts of it to those you trust, the job will get done more quickly and you can look at other things that require your immediate attention.

Reward yourself- We all work so much better and faster when we have a personal benefit. While the end result is certainly rewarding, setting small incentives along the way for on-time or early completion can make you go from push to shove.

Set your heart and mind to being more productive in 2017 and the sky is the limit!
