1. Bleach damages your skin.If you use bleach on your face, make sure you don’t use it more than once in a month. Also after washing off the bleach, always apply a nourishing face pack.
  2.  Whenever you shampoo your hair, always apply a few drops of wash off conditioner. Pat dry your hair with a soft towel and then comb with a wide toothed comb. This will prevent breakage.
  3. Make-up on a daily basis can make your skin dull. To avoid direct contact of the products with your skin, apply a light layer of your sunscreen before using any make-up.
  4. For an acne free skin, you need to keep your skin as cool as possible. Trapped heat causes break-outs. Always wash your face with a mild face wash after coming back home.
  5. To nourish your skin, you can easily make a fruit face pack. Wash your face, make a thick pulp of your favorite fruit (make sure it’s a ripe one), add a portion of moisturizer in the pulp, mix it well and apply it evenly on your face for about 15-20 minutes.
  6. To avoid split ends, and to make your hair grow longer and healthier, trim your hair at least once in two months.
  7. Want instant glowing skin? Make an egg face pack. Beat one egg in a bowl; add a table spoon of honey and olive oil in it. Then add two table spoons of oats in it and mix well. You can add more oats if the pack isn’t thick enough. Leave it on your face for about 20 minutes, and then wash it off with warm water.
  8. Include nuts in your daily diet. Eat a few almonds, walnuts, cashew nuts in the morning. Please avoid if you have high cholesterol.
  9. Remember, food which makes you feel good will not make you look good. Avoid consuming junk and sugary foods on a regular basis. It not only makes your skin acne prone but also adds to your hair fall.
  10. Avoid washing your hair with hot water. It damages the roots. Opt for cold water to wash your hair.
  11. Dead skin on your face blocks the pores, not letting your skin breathe. Use a mild scrub every alternate day and gently scrub off the dry/dead skin.
  12. Increase your water intake. It helps in flushing out the toxins in your body, making your hair and skin healthier. At least start with a minimum of 2.5-3 liters a day.
  13. Vitamin D is an important part of having healthy hair. In a country like India we are lucky to have the vitamin D supply for free. Get sun exposure for 20 minutes every day before 8am. As the heat after that will cause more damage than good.
  14. Make sure you include a part of protein in your every meal. High protein food boosts hair growth and also makes your hair stronger.
  15. Never sleep with make-up on. The make-up gets absorbed in your skin, and harms the tissues. Always remove it and wash your face with a mild face wash before going to bed.
  16. To condition extremely dry and rough hair, you can use mayonnaise if you don’t like the smell of eggs. Apply it on your hair (leaving the scalp area) and leave for about an hour before washing them. It may take more than one wash to get it off completely.
  17. It may sound absurd. But anger and stress can aggravate acne and hair fall.  Reduce your salt intake and also consider deep breathing exercises every morning for a calm and peaceful mind.
  18. If your deodorant is making our skin dark then stop using it directly on your skin. Spray it over your clothes and not directly on the skin.
  19. To get rid of the excess oil from our face, apply a paste of multani mitti and leave it for about an hour. For best results, mix the multani mitti with rose water instead of tap water and wash off with warm water.
  20. Last but not the least, beauty sleep is no bluff. Sleep counts the most for the health of your skin and hair. 7 hours of peaceful sleep if very important for the body.
