Recently i visited the beautiful city of Jaipur . As it’s quite difficult to cover my trip in one blog post , the post has been divided into a few sections to make it easier for you!

-Snake charmers outside City Palace
Pity the snakes , really! These snake charmers were quite persuasive and literally forced us to  view their little show.

 -Beautiful mirror in our room
We lived in a hotel that was made to look like a Haveli ( Palace) . The suite was beyond beautiful . The theme of the room was “peacock” and you could find peacock carvings / designs in every corner of the room . Photos of the room will be posted in PART 2 of the “JAIPUR DIARIES” post.
– Lake palace
This was a fantastic location! This palace looked like a dream . Though we weren’t allowed to enter the palace , visitors could view it from a distance .
-Jewellery store at Johari Bazar
There are number of shops & street vendors that sell jewellery , especially bangles at Johari Bazar. The tiny lanes & the crowd can make it seem quite confusing . We visited one of the stores where the shop owner claimed that the earrings were made of pure silver . Although i loved the earrings , i didn’t purchase it . As we moved ahead , a friendly guy from one of the stores informed us that very few stores at Johari Bazaar sell pure silver jewellery. This is one of the tactics they use to woo tourists into purchasing the products at an extremely high price.
– Sheesh Mahal , Amber Fort
Intricate carvings / paintings combined with mirrors / glasswork all over the wall made this place look beyond beautiful.
-Purohit ji ka Katta
Purohit ji ka Katta is a tiny lane that sells sarees & Lehengas . Although it may not seem to be that appealing at first , when you dig deeper , you might find beautiful sarees / lehengas here.
. Luckily we found 2 breathtakingly beautiful saris here for an extremely reasonable price. STEAL!
If you ever visit jaipur , do not miss this lane!
